Some organizations begin with an idea. HEALthy Hearts Thrive, Inc. began with a testimony.

Founded by Precious Smith, HEALthy Hearts Thrive was born from a life shaped by trials and tribulations, perseverance, and unwavering FAITH.

For more than 22 years, Precious has dedicated her career to serving individuals living with intellectual disabilities, mental HEALth needs, and other vulnerable populations. Through her years of service, she has witnessed firsthand the impact that trauma, poverty, limited opportunities, and a lack of support can have on individuals, families, and communities.

But this mission is more than professional. It is personal.

Precious understands what it feels like to walk through difficult seasons alone without the programs, resources, or people needed to help navigate life’s journey.

All she had was GOD, and that was more than enough! ✝️🙌🏾🙏🏾

Through FAITH, perseverance, and GOD’s GRACE, she discovered that HEALing is possible, HOPE can be restored, purpose can be revealed, and PEACE can be experienced, even in the hardest moments of life.

That experience became the foundation of HEALthy Hearts Thrive.

Our name is a statement of possibility!

No matter where your journey begins, HEALing has the power to change what comes next. We BELIEVE that HEALing restores HOPE, reveals purpose, STRENGTHens families, unites communities, and empowers people to thrive!

HEALthy Hearts Thrive exists because Precious BELIEVEs no one should have to walk through their hardest moments alone. The organization was created to provide compassionate support through mental HEALth resources, mentoring, workforce development, life-skills training, and community-centered programs that help individuals and families move from surviving to thriving.

Rooted in CHRISTian FAITH, HEALthy Hearts Thrive is guided by a commitment to serve with LOVE, compassion, integrity, and dignity. While FAITH is the foundation of this mission, we welcome and support individuals from all backgrounds.

Precious continues to answer the calling placed on her life: to help restore LOVE, PEACE, HOPE, and HEALing in the hearts of individuals, families, and communities. And she’s just getting started!

Her story is a reminder that GOD is still working. HE is still HEALing, still restoring, and still changing lives. The same GOD who carried Precious through her own journey is the same GOD who can transform the stories of countless others.
